2010-Present

Weathering a Storm to New Heights
The Chrysler Corporation was hit hard by the automotive crisis of 2008-2010. After merging with Fiat S.p.A in 2008, Chrysler repaid its obligations in the bailout to the U.S. government in 2011 as part of the Troubled Asset Relief Program. Fiat S.p.A purchased the Chrysler Group in 2014 for $3.65 billion and was renamed FCA US LLC, to reflect the Fiat-Chrysler merger. The Jeep brand is going global in sales and saw record profits after the introduction of many new vehicles including the Jeep Cherokee (KL), Jeep Renegade (BU) and Jeep Compass (MP).
